Your Itinerary
Day 1
Flight to Kayseri – Transfer to Ürgüp – North Cappadocia Tour
Following check-out in the early morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Istanbul Airport for an early morning flight to Cappadocia (approximately 1 hour 25 minutes to Kayseri Airport). Upon arrival, transfer to Ürgüp to start the day with a gentle hike through orchards and volcanic rock formations at Red Valley and Pasabagi, where you'll find the famous fairy chimneys. Visit the old Christian Village of Cavusin, followed by a lunch break and an excursion to Pigeon Valley. Continue to the Goreme Open-Air Museum to see rock-carved churches and monasteries with early-Christian frescoes. The day concludes at the panoramic viewpoint of Uchisar's natural rock castle. Transfer to your cave hotel, carved into the landscape centuries ago, for an overnight stay in Ürgüp. (Meals: Lunch.)
Day 2
Optional Hot Air Balloon Tour – South Cappadocia Tour – Flight to Istanbul
An optional one-hour balloon tour during the sunrise is available early in the morning, returning to the hotel for breakfast afterward. After breakfast, the day continues with Rose Valley, named for the pink tints in its weathered rock, including the first currently inhabited rock-cut houses, and the Church of St. John the Baptist with its panoramic village view. After lunch, drive to the south of Cappadocia to visit Kaymakli Underground City, the widest underground city in the region. The day finishes with Ortahisar, home to the Castle of Ortahisar. Return to Ürgüp for free time before transferring to Kayseri Airport for an evening flight to Istanbul. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.)
