Day by Day
Your Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival to Istanbul
Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport and clearing customs, you will be met by one of our staff at the exit gate and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. *Note: Turkey is noted for having one of the three most famous and distinctive traditional cuisines in the world. For this reason, where convenient we have not included dinners or lunches at hotels, and your guide(s) will be happy to recommend authentic local restaurants.*
Day 2
Ottoman & Byzantine Relics Tour
After breakfast, start your day with sightseeing in the old city, formerly Constantinople. Visit the Hagia Sophia basilica, the Sultan Ahmet (Blue) Mosque, and the ancient Hippodrome. Before lunch, visit the Grand Bazaar's labyrinth of streets and passages with more than 4,000 shops. After lunch, proceed to Topkapi Palace, the center of the Ottoman Empire between the 15th and 19th centuries. Finally, visit the Basilica Underground Cistern from the 5th century. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3
Bosphorus Cruise – Food Trail on the Asian Side & Spice Bazaar Tour
After breakfast, cruise along the Bosphorus on one of Istanbul's iconic ferries, navigating the strait between Europe and Asia. Disembark on the Asian side in the Kadıköy area to visit the local fish market and enjoy traditional Turkish street food, then continue to Kuzguncuk, home to a mosque, church, and synagogue within a few streets of each other. After lunch, head back to Europe via the Marmaray underground metro to visit the Spice Bazaar and the Rustem Pasha Mosque, famous for its Iznik tiles. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Events Day in Istanbul
Today is yours to personalize. Depending on your interests, we arrange reservations, tickets and transport for art galleries and museums (such as Istanbul Modern or Sakıp Sabancı Museum), major sporting events at Istanbul's top stadiums and arenas, shopping in Nişantaşı or the Grand Bazaar, a traditional Turkish bath experience at a historic Ottoman-era hamam, a Whirling Dervish ceremony, a concert at a leading concert hall, or an evening at one of Istanbul's well-known restaurants and clubs. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5
Final Departure
Depending on your flight time, check out from the hotel (typically by 12:00) and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure until your transfer to Istanbul Airport for your homebound flight.

This itinerary is offered on a fully private basis.
Can the Day 4 'Events Day' be customized to my interests?
Yes — Day 4 is intentionally flexible, and can be arranged around art, sport, shopping, wellness (Turkish bath), music, or nightlife based on your preferences.
Is the Whirling Dervish ceremony included by default?
It is one of several optional Day 4 experiences that can be arranged for you; let your guide know your preference in advance.
What's not included in the package price?
Personal travel insurance, visa fees (if required), tips, items of a personal nature, hotel extras (minibar, telephone, laundry), drinks beyond breakfast, and medical services are not included.
